Decorator Icing

 1 lb. powdered sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cream of tarter

1/3 cup crisco

1/4 cup tap water

1/2 tsp flavoring

Beat five minutes. 

This is the decorating icing my mother used when she learned cake decorating back in the 1970's.
